2010 Remixes : Part 3

In the third volume of 2010 remixes from Toucan Music, two Psychadelik Pedestrian tracks are reworked by Beat Doctor. First up is Psychadelik Pedestrian's 2009 track, World Of Fantasy, which is remixed in a slightly minimal old skool deep house style with retro synth basslines, stabs and pads. The B-side is 1998 track Eternal Truth, which is moulded into an upbeat bouncy house track, retaining the classical piano and strings, and adding sidechained pads, a thumping kick and sizzling contemporary synths.

Three In One

Redmann presents a trio of religious-themed tracks in this E.P. release, all influenced by old hymn tunes. First up is Peace, an instrumental downtempo / chillout track with large trip-hop beats, a moving piano riff and orchestral strings. Let There Be combines house beats and throbbing sidechained bass with arpeggio synths. Friend retains the uptempo, house sound and adds more of an electro feel. Seeking You / Thirty One 2009

This release from Toucan Music celebrates the tenth anniversary of two classic trance tracks from Hyperterminal. First produced in March 1999, Thirty One was the debut Hyperterminal track and defined the trademark synth driven Hyperterminal sound. It was Seeking You, produced in September 1999 and released online in December, that slowly brought Hyperterminal recognition and led to a record deal, reaching the dance top ten on MP3.com in 2000 and later top spot on the Vitaminic music download site in 2001. Ten years on, and the tracks have been remade in a contemporary, upfront tech-trance style with thumping rhythms, bouncy tech bass and soaring trance synths and arpeggio...

Search The Soul

Search The Soul is Redmann's first track of 2007, and sees him reprise his slightly downtempo, yet still uplifting acoustic style first evident on his popular 2002 track Embrace. The original mix has a very catchy pop influenced tune that is likely to get anyone humming along, and features pianos, strings, funky bass and a mix of acoustic and electronic rhythms. Dave Kent's tongue-in-cheek remix speeds up the tempo with a slightly unusual blend of house style breakbeats and rockin' funky guitar sounds.
