2010 Remixes : Part 3
by Psychadelik Pedestrian
In the third volume of 2010 remixes from Toucan Music, two Psychadelik Pedestrian tracks are reworked by Beat Doctor. First up is Psychadelik Pedestrian's 2009 track, World Of Fantasy, which is remixed in a slightly minimal old skool deep house style with retro synth basslines, stabs and pads. The B-side is 1998 track Eternal Truth, which is moulded into an upbeat bouncy house track, retaining the classical piano and strings, and adding sidechained pads, a thumping kick and sizzling contemporary synths.
Three In One
by Redmann
Redmann presents a trio of religious-themed tracks in this E.P. release, all influenced by old hymn tunes. First up is Peace, an instrumental downtempo / chillout track with large trip-hop beats, a moving piano riff and orchestral strings. Let There Be combines house beats and throbbing sidechained bass with arpeggio synths. Friend retains the uptempo, house sound and adds more of an electro feel. All three tracks are free to download in full high quality MP3 format.
Seeking You / Thirty One 2009
by Hyperterminal
This release from Toucan Music celebrates the tenth anniversary of two classic trance tracks from Hyperterminal. First produced in March 1999, Thirty One was the debut Hyperterminal track and defined the trademark synth driven Hyperterminal sound. It was Seeking You, produced in September 1999 and released online in December, that slowly brought Hyperterminal recognition and led to a record deal, reaching the dance top ten on MP3.com in 2000 and later top spot on the Vitaminic music download site in 2001. Ten years on, and the tracks have been remade in a contemporary, upfront tech-trance style with thumping rhythms, bouncy tech bass and soaring trance synths and arpeggio...
Lost The Plot
by Beat Doctor
Old skool rave meets electro house in this release from Beat Doctor. Electro beats and electro stabs, warped bass and slightly sinister textures resound in "Lost The Plot", while the remix of "On The Road" is a stomping bouncy house track with gritty synth riffs. Both tracks are in full DJ friendly mixes, suitable for mixing into any set.
Beautiful Geometry
by Phish Funk
Phish Funk stir up the dancefloor with two funky tracks. "Beautiful Geometry" is pure melodic, funky house with building riffs, groovy bass and pumping club beats, as well as lush synth pads adding a chilled, mellow feel. Dave Kent adds a bonus remix of Phish Funk's "Phenomenon", retaining the original bouncy synth stabs and adding funky riffs and throbbing house beats. Both tracks are in full DJ friendly unmixed mp3 format with extended introduction and ending ideal for mixing.
Polar
by JMD
Uplifting, melodic trance from JMD. "Polar" starts with driving tech-trance club beats and stuttering bass, then breaks down into a warm, mellow pad section before kicking in with an anthemic trance synth riff building up throughout the remainder of the track. Psychadelik Pedestrian presents a chillout remix adding spaced out beats. The bonus track, "Subfusion", is a melodic, thumping club trance track with old school synth and electro influences. All tracks are DJ friendly and feature extended introduction and ending.
Ethereal
by Marc Burt
Melodic, progressive trance from Marc Burt. The haunting pianos and uplifting synth pads in Ethereal are backed by bouncy house beats and fat analogue bass riffs. The bonus track is a remix of Marc's Exodus, which is warped into a thumping, melodic sidechained trance stormer by JMD. As usual both tracks are available to download in high quality MP3 format.
Hold My Breath
by JMD
Hold My Breath is pure uplifting trance with lush synth riffs, throbbing arpeggiated bass and bouncy club beats. The bonus track is a remix of the 2004 JMD track Jumpin' by Beat Doctor in a dark, slightly sinister electro house style.
Frontline
by JMD
Thumping hard yet melodic trance from JMD, ideal to get the dancefloors pumping while still featuring uplifting and listenable elements. The remix from Psychadelik Pedestrian keeps the uplifting trance synths and swaps the 4/4 club beats for distorted breaks and deep bass.
Search The Soul
by Redmann
Search The Soul is Redmann's first track of 2007, and sees him reprise his slightly downtempo, yet still uplifting acoustic style first evident on his popular 2002 track Embrace. The original mix has a very catchy pop influenced tune that is likely to get anyone humming along, and features pianos, strings, funky bass and a mix of acoustic and electronic rhythms. Dave Kent's tongue-in-cheek remix speeds up the tempo with a slightly unusual blend of house style breakbeats and rockin' funky guitar sounds.
